Blu-Ray professionally fitted Region A / B multiregion upgrades
If you own one a blu-ray player and it is locked to a single region, then why not use our professional modification workshop service? These modifications
are also available as a self fit DIY modification kit, but these are VERY DIFFICULT to install.
Your machine, once modified, will act as if you had TWO blu-ray machines, as it now contains the processor and firmware from both a region A and a region B
machine! You can still update your firmware as usual, although you now have 2 machines in 1 box, so need to update both the Region A firmware and Region B firmware
and simply switch between the different regions with the units own remote. The unit will also play DVDs from any region once modified.
WHAT DO YOU DO AND HOW LONG?
Once your machine arrives, it is fully tested to ensure it is in full working order. The modification will then begin.
Blu-Ray modifications are very complex to install, compared to conventional DVD modifications. They can only be achived by disassembling
your player to its component parts. An additional processor / firmware, along with additonal control components and secondary logic board are then installed.
All these components are delicate SMT level components and require SMT specialist equipment and experiance.
Our modification service ensures your machine will modified with specialist SMT rework equipment, by persons with over 20 years SMT rework experiance.
Once modified, your player will be bench tested continuously for 24 hours to initally test for any problems. It will then be fully re-assembled then
further bench tested for an additional 24 hours. It will then be re-packed with upgrade user instructions, and we will then contact you to arrange a
delivery date. Return fully insured courier delivery is included in the fitted price.
We would usually quote 3-5 working days from receipt to return as we do bench test your player for a minimum of 48 hours to ensure there are no problems. Note, this is an estimate only - if we are busys due to seasonal demands this could be significantly longer.
We always recommend that you contact us PRIOR to sending your player as to current turnarround - machines are delt with on a first booked, first modified order - sorry no queue jumping!
No other UK firm does this as part of the service.
WILL I LOSE MY WARRANTY?
Yes! As mentioned above, your machine will be totally dissassembled, extensive SMT work and additional components added, and then re-assembled.
This is why we fully test BEFORE and AFTER modification to ensure the machine works flawlessly. We do fully guarantee our own work and the actual modification itself for 12 months, but nothing else.
The modification does not affect the machine in any way other then allow playback of Region A and B Blu-ray, and Region 1 and 2 DVD playback.
HOW DO I ORDER?
Select your model from the drop down list below. Then speciy your players current region code (this is shown on the back panel, and in the user manual). For example, UK sourced models are Region 2/A.
Then simply complete checkout, selecting the payment method you wish to use (Cheque, or Credit/Debit card), select the free delivery option as return postage is included in the service price, and you will be generated an order number.
Now box up your machine, making sure there are no discs in the machine, and including your players original remote control. Please use the original
packing if you have this available, if not please ensure you pack the machine safely. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE YOUR MACHINE IS SAFELY PACKED TO
PREVENT DAMAGE IN TRANSIT. Please also include your details with the player.
Finally, you need to get your machine to us. You can use whatever service you prefer, such as your place of works own courier.
Or you can use one of the many home collection couriers, such as Parcel to go or parcelforce, all which allow you to book your collection online
and will collect from your home or place of work. YOU MUST USE AN INSURED SERVICE IN CASE OF DAMAGE OR LOSS! WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE NOR LOSS OF YOUR PLAYER WHEN SENT TO US!
